Starting Wednesday, February 28 (estimated through August), the 400 block of Walnut Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic until date of completion. The Art Room will be open to business as usual! You will have the ability to park in the lots north and south of Walnut Street and have walking access with the sidewalks. If you are hosting a party, please take this into consideration for how you will bring in supplies (we will have a hand truck available to help transport items from your car if you’d like.) Also please inform your guests of where to park.
If the sidewalk happens to be closed in front of The Art Room, we will have safe access through the back door of the studio (which can be accessed in the walkway on the south side of Sweet Sensations.)
Please take note of illustrated map here for your reference. Please be patient as beauty takes time. We are so excited about what this beautification means for our city!

In our studio we: love and value all humans, breathe deep, make mistakes, make messes, take a break from the stress of the world, exhale negativity, inhale joy, promote kindness, learn, grow, share, laugh, cry, wiggle, relax, release, feel the process, let go of expectations.
The Art Room is located at 408 Walnut Street in Historic Green Cove Springs. There is limited street parking (which seems to be enough for short term drop offs) but plenty of parking in the lots behind or in front of this historic street. Our location is in walking distance to the city park, Sweet Sensations, Spring Park coffee, Red’s Wine Bar and many more lunch and shopping locations.
Mission of The Art Room:
When you are little, art is constant, daily, playful. When you are little you are always drawing, coloring, building, squishing, watching, imagining, expanding your understanding of the world around you. As you grow up, there is a change. That change tells some kids that they aren’t good at art, don’t have time for their imagination, need to focus on more important things. Suddenly, art is gone for those kids. Other kids find a way to keep art and they may be considered artsy, creative, weird, fun, silly, distracted, lost, balanced. As you go through school, the kids who have chosen to keep art in their lives have a place at school called “The Art Room”. It’s a magical place. The kids who chose a different path, may wonder about the art room, wish they were artistic or brave enough for the art room. Those kids grow into adults and claim “I’m not an artist, I can’t draw, I wish I were creative!” The artists know the truth, all are created to create in their own way, all one needs is to explore their gifts.
The Art Room is here for you, The Art Room is ready for those who have a wish, a hope, a sparkle that needs to be set free with no rules. The Art Room will release you from the routine of the responsibilities of adulting, studying, living. The Art Room will connect you to this world that doesn’t make sense and give back some love and kindness that it needs.
The Art Room is your safe place to come if you are a human who wants and needs a creative outlet, to expand your mind and try new things. The Art Room is for you to come and play.
Welcome To The Art Room LLC officially began small with homeschool and after school classes in January 2018.
Now that we are on Walnut street we have 4 weekly teachers and many guest artists teaching in the studio! We welcome ALL humans and all abilities.
