AGE: 8-teen / TIME: 2-5pm

COST: $220

This is Ms Heather’s last camp as the owner of The Art Room, so this is the perfect way to create together!

We will be focusing taking photos, ephemera and keepsakes and how to put them on display.

We will have mosaic frames, shadow boxes, canvas and scrapbook pages for our projects of focus this week.

You will need to bring in photos for this week of camp. Please have them printed before the week of camp. You may also bring in keepsakes such as movie or concert stubs, receipts, brochures from travel, maps of your favorite cities, drawings, pressed flora, newspaper or magazine clippings, etc. anything goes! we may not use all the bits and pieces they bring, but it will be good to have. we recommend a box with their name on it to keep in the studio for the week. We will be doing scrapbook pages, so you may bring a scrapbook to put them in if you like, but it’s not necessary. If you have frames that you’d like to bring in to specifically match your decor, feel free to bring in. We will not alter any frames you bring it, only create for the inside parts. The frames we provide in the studio may be painted or mosaiced on.

We have never done this camp before and are excited for the fun possibilities!

At The Art Room, we believe in creating a fun, safe space where creativity can thrive. Our studio is built on kindness, respect, and a shared love of making art.

Students must be able to work respectfully with others of varying ages, share materials, and follow studio expectations. Kindness and respect for peers, teachers, and the studio space are required at all times.

Our camps are not a babysitting service. Students should come prepared and motivated to actively participate in art activities. Our instructors are not able to manage significant or ongoing behavioral or social concerns, and it is not fair to other campers when a large portion of time is spent addressing behavior. Please speak to your child about behavior expectations before sending them to camp.

Thank you for helping us create a positive and creative experience for everyone!

We are an ECO Conscious Studio! Please do not bring one time use plastic bottles or sugary drinks. Students will have a short break to eat, so please feel free to pack snacks or a light lunch.

Campers are welcome to bring cell phones, but we encourage a screen-free environment so students can fully enjoy creating and connecting with others. During camp time, all phones must be silenced and stored in a student’s bag or lunchbox. Phones may be used to contact parents if needed.

Between projects, games, and creative play, there’s always something to do, no scrolling required!
